Getting your LuxPower LXP-LB-US 8k, 10k, and 12k inverter working with Maple Leaf Beaver 48V 100 Ah lithium batteries in closed-loop mode is easy. Follow the steps below to get your system communicating effectively.
Step 1: Connect the Power and Communication Cables
Power Cable Connection
Start by connecting the power cables between your Maple Leaf battery and the LuxPower inverter. If your setup uses busbars, you can connect the battery through those instead.
-
Tip: Refer to your LuxPower inverter manual to locate the exact battery terminals.
Communication Cable (RS485)
Use the RS485 communication cable provided with your LuxPower inverter.
-
Plug one end into the RS485 (COM) port (Link In) on the Maple Leaf battery.
-
Plug the other end into the BAT COM port on the LuxPower inverter.
-

Set the DIP Switch
Adjust the DIP switch on your battery:
-
Switch #6 ON (for the master battery only)
-
All other switches OFF
-
Important: Make sure the battery is turned off before changing any DIP switch settings.
Step 2: Configure the Inverter Settings
Once the cables are connected, configure the inverter.
-
On the LuxPower inverter display, tap the Settings icon.
-
Tap Advanced
-
Go to the Battery section
-
Set Battery Type and Lithium Brand
Battery Type: Lithium
Lithium Brand: Lithium_0 -
Enter password: 00000 if the inverter asks for a password.
Note: After changing this setting, the inverter will normally restart on its own. If it doesn't, please restart the inverter manually.
Step 3: Confirm Successful Communication
Once settings are applied, confirm communication:
-
The battery icon on the inverter’s home screen should turn green.
-
You should see live battery data such as:
-
SOC (State of Charge)
-
Voltage
-
Current
-
Troubleshooting Tip:
If the battery icon is red, check the following:
-
DIP switch settings (only Switch #6 ON for the master battery)
-
RS485 cable connection (firmly connected at both ends)
-
Lithium Brand: Lithium_0
