Setting up your LuxPower inverter with Pytes E-Box 48V batteries is a straightforward process. Just follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Connect the Power & Communication Cables
-
Power Cable Connection
Start by connecting the power cables between your inverter and battery—or to your system’s busbars, if you’re using them.
(Tip: Check for the inverter’s manual for the exact battery connector location.) -
Communication Cable (CAN Port)
A standard ethernet cable can be used for communication since the Luxpower inverter pin assignment is the same as the Pytes E-BOX battery.
- Plug one end into the CAN port on your Pytes battery.
- Plug the other end into the BAT COM port on your LuxPower inverter.
-
Set the DIP Switch
Set the master battery DIP switch as shown below. Make sure the battery is off before changing the DIP switch.
Step 2: Configure the Inverter Settings
After the battery power cable and communication cable connection, users need to enter Advanced settings and choose Battery type and brand on the inverter LCD. After you choose the right battery protocol, the communication will be build in 1-2 minutes.
-
Go to Settings
On the inverter screen, tap the Settings icon.
-
Enter Advanced Mode
Tap Advanced, then scroll down to the battery section.
- Choose Battery Type: Lithium (Option 2).
-
Select Battery Brand
- Enter password 00000 when prompted.
- Choose Lithium_0 or 0:Standard Battery from the list of brands. This corresponds to the Pytes E-Box.
-
Check Communication
- If the connection is successful, the battery icon on the home screen turns green.
- You’ll also see live data like the battery’s State of Charge (SOC).
- If something’s off, the icon will turn red—double-check your cable connections and DIP switch.
